Skip the crowded waiting rooms and long GP queues. At Bristo Square Pharmacy, our Independent Pharmacist Prescribers offer direct, confidential digital consultations for a wide range of everyday health concerns and prescription treatments right here in Edinburgh.
Whether you need quick relief for a sudden minor infection, advice on ongoing medication, or a private prescription issued, our qualified clinical team is here to support you safely and conveniently from home, work, or campus.
How does the service work?
An Independent Pharmacist Prescriber (IP) is a senior clinician who has undergone specialist postgraduate training to assess, diagnose, and treat medical conditions autonomously.
During your consultation, your prescriber can:
Diagnose & Treat: Evaluate your symptoms and diagnose common conditions.
Issue Prescriptions: Write official private prescriptions when clinically indicated.
Design Care Plans: Provide bespoke advice on managing minor illnesses, skin health, and wellness.
Review Medications: Check drug interactions, side effects, and dosage timings.
Refer When Necessary: Direct you safely to GP care, specialists, or emergency services if your condition requires further investigation.
